don't know much about Bell helmets other than they are better know for cager racing lids than motorbike helmets.

The Pepboys stores in my area sell Bells. Any in your neck of the woods?

ya super walmarts sell them and if your looking in that price range hell i would get a kbc and vega has alot of nice helments

What kind of helmet do you wear right now? I tried on the Bell helmet at a local Walmart and it was really uncomfortable (painful in fact). I guess it depends on your head shape. I fit well into a Shoei RF-1000 if that helps.

Also check out in that price range(-ish) HJC, KBC, and Scorpion. I think Newenough has some clearance helmets.

Not a bad promotion. I give Bell some props for showing concern for old helmets that may have deteriorated through the years.

However, I do like those Scorpion helmets. My noggin' likes the ex400 as it's a quieter helmet than my Shoei RF1000. I like their fog-proof lenses too and for being a fraction of the price of a Shoei.
