im moving to vegas around the 2nd or 3rd week of august was just wondering hows the cost of living? a 2bedrm 1 bath apartment and hows the bartending scene there as far as pay goes? anyone know of any places hiring for a "good" job? thanks

service industry males alot of money here. the housing is cheap unless you want to buy a house, then youll be paying inflated prices in my opinion. Hope you like it hot. I guess a 2br apt goes from 7-1000 bucks unless your livin in the ghetto...

Bartending here is damn nice at most places. BUT, gettin in is hard.. But once you are in you are set. If you don't mind starting as a bar back, goin union is one option. But you gotta start as a bar back or bar porter.

some houses, 1.5-1.8k sq. feet, run about $1,095 and up last time i checked (on the south side). then there's utilities and stuff added onto that.

Apartments do range in that price range. 700-1000. i prefer the northwest area myself. but green valley is pretty nice too. Don't know anything about the bartending thing but you'll love las vegas. Let us know when you get into town.

I am in the North West part, and you can usually find a nice house around here for close to 1k.

Better buy one before your priced out of the market. Prices are sky rocketing upwards at insane rates.

Prices should platau, that i read also, but this is after all of the 40 percent increases in apprecaition every quarter. Pretty soon the median home will be over 350,000.
