I just bought a 2000 r6. Its been sitting for about a year and its starts up fine and idles fine with the choke on. When i take the choke off it dies and when i try to give it any throttle it dies as well. I have already cleaned out the carbs and drained the fuel from the gas tank. What do you guyz think?

-Thanks

Sounds like you are going to need to disassemble the carbs and really clean them out. The idle jets are clogged. Also check your fuel filter.
Its not that hard, just dont fug with the sync screws.

Before you take anything apart, check the vaccum hose that goes into the gas tank. Small hose maybe 6 inches long, if it has a kink in it, when you give it gas it will die.... just a quick check that can save you some time!
