Anybody have any suggestions for a tankbag? I think I want something that is expandable, but I'm open to suggestions.

I have a Teknic Chicane that expands to double it's size, is magnetic, and has clear map pocket on top. I really like it a lot and use it all the time.

I have a Nelson-Rigg magnetic tank bang. It has worked well for me, it's expandable, and it's pretty cheap at New Enough:

I have a Marsee magnetic, expandable tank bag and it's great. They come in different sizes and the quality is first rate (a bit more $$ than others maybe). Magnets work well and I've never had it move even when expanded and really heavy. They expand to about double their smaller size. When expanded it does block the view to the gauges a bit. The clear map pocket on top comes in handy for stuff you want to see while riding. The one I have is a few years old and if I were to get another one, I would seriously look at one with one or two side pockets. Putting everything into one big space sometimes gets a little inconvenient. Other than that, I love it and use it every time I'm on the bike.
Marsee is killer i have one for the duc, also look at tour master there not bad, have expandable sides or rear hump bag if you want to go that way.

Cant really suggest the one I just got... Its not expandable, but I like it

I bought the Tour Master Mini tank bag recently. Thought the super-mini might be too small for me and I didn't want something too big. The size is perfect. It's expandable... you can easily fit a day's worth of stuff in it.

joe rocket sport tank bag is nice but it is not expandable.
I'm thirding the Icon urban bag. I'm not a big icon fan, but they did a good job with this product. There's plenty of room; a clear map holding pocket on top with enough space for more than just maps; straps that allow you to wear it as a backpack or zip them up out of the way when it's on your bike; the helmet holding function; and the magnets fold into their own pockets when not in use so you don't snag metal you walk by.
Just make sure the magnets inside the flaps (they are removable) are facing the proper direction. It's obvious by their grip which side should be against the tank. Some units were shipped with them improperly inserted a vendor told me.

Riverroad Bag
I have a Riverroad tank bag, it is three bags in one. The bottom is magnetic and it has a clear map pocket and two bags that can zip to it. One bag is real big then the smaller bag zips to it to stack them. The best part it that if your only need the small bag you can zip it to the base and not use the big one, or you can use just the big bag too. It also turns into a backpack, plus both bags have d rings on the to tie them to your back seat for a tail bag when you don't want a tank bag. Both of the bags have a clear map pocket and have neopreme on the bottom so they won't scrath your tank. The base has three magnets on each side to hold it on. I paid 125.00 at my local Yamaha shop, but here is a pic.It also come with a rain cover. The small pouch by my belly works great for my mp3 player and garage door remote. I hardly ever use the small pouch, but when I do, I tie it to my back seat as a tail bag. The big bag works great when going down the highway because I can lay on it and it set the bottom edge of my helmet on it and relax and still see over my windscreen but not get all the wind.

I posted this on R6-forum. I like it alot. It is the Nelson Rigg MG-950. Some of this may repeat itself, but it was easier to cut and paste than retype it all.
Again, all the tankbags I found were way too big and hindered riding the twisties or mounted in some awkward way. So far this bag has met all needs. Things that I have had in it all at once...Spare Visor, Sony Digital Camera(707/not small),3 cell phones(part of job), multitool, wallet, another small digicam(Canon Elph), small bottle of water, 2 magazines.I am sure that I had a bit more, but I can not remember it all. I would expand it to store my gloves when off the bike. Expansion is not hige but definitely sufficient. This bag is not huge at all, but does its job well. I used it like above for a recent trip 2000+ mile trip...on mr R6. I will also be receiving an Oxford Sports Deluxe Tailbag on Tuesday for my trip from AZ to Sacramento then to Laguna Seca for Superbike races and then back. If I have time before I leave, I will post picks of that.

Here are the pics. Hope this helps. First 3 are bag moutned to bike not expanded. 4th pic is contents in bag not expanded. 5th pic is contents in bag expanded. Could probably get a little more in there, but I didn't want to stuff it too tight. Pics 6 and 7 are expanded bag on bike. The bag does function well and honestly does not look bad at all on the bike. These pics do not do it justice. I tried 3 marsee's before I got this. Best part is this one did not break the bank.
Cameras, 3 magazines, 1 map, 2 cell phones, 1 camera lense, 1 bottle of purell, 1 small bottle of mountain dew, 1 rag, 1 leatherman multitool, 1 tire guage, 1 pack of handwarmers, 1 pack of mint strips, 1 visor and bag, 1 carbon kickstand plate and bag, and 1 wallet.
With bag expanded, I added my Held gloves and Deal's Gap hat.
