they always say accidents happen close to home... never thought it would b this close tho...

i just left my house to head over to Joes for the gp race. went up my road, and at the top of my road there is a stop sign. where i usally roll thru it, if there is nobody coming from the left, cuz im turing right. so i rolled thru like normal, and saw a blue r6 headed towards me. next thing i know, the bike is sideways, and i dont know if i highsided or lowsided. either way, i rolled for about 30 feet??? the bike righted it self and went into a ditch, as i was only going mayb 25-30mph.

within a min the guy with the r6 was there, a neighbor i know was there, and about 6 other people that live right there. they all said i wasnt going fast, and all they heard was a crash.

i still dont know how i crashed. which bugs me. alot. my only guess is that my throttle cables stuck and kept the gas on when i was turing...

i got a lot of rash on my back and shoulders. id post pics but i dont think many want to see that. so here is some pics of the bike, which is 95% rideable, cept for the throttle cable, which i do not trust anymore
my brand new helmet got all scraped up, and i am now kicking myself for not wearing my jacket.

Way to F'ing go...damn squids. Oh well, at least you actually had your helmet on this time around! Without it, I don't think you would be walking or talking right now. Hope you learned your lesson...to bad it was on the way to my house though :(

At least you're OK, Dane! :dblthumb

Damn, that helmet is only a month old. I swear I didn't do anything to your bike when you let me take it for a ride the other week.

Sorry to hear about the fall. Atleast your ok. Everything else can be fixed or replaced except yourself. Stories like these are like the little guy on my should that says even on the hot days put the jacket on. Hope your recovery is quick.

How are you healing up Dane?

still pretty swollen in the hip area, but most of my scabs are gone. took the bike for a lil ride the other day, and was fine riding it, just hurt the swollen side over every freakin bump! haha

but hopefully the swelling will be down by middle of next week im thinking. will be ready to go by the 20th for the knucklehead ride fo sho!
