My girlfriend is pretty boring. All she does is work from home (freelance writer), and complain to me about how much she hates her mother. Yea she's all lovey-dovey, but she doesnt exactly have any fun hobbies we can share, and I would just love her to randomly tell me "hey I learned this really interesting thing today". but alas, no, she is boring as a stick.

Thats called experience. Either teach her or send her on her way. But like my friend says "If I dont fuck her, someone else will" so watch out for people like my friend-hes a charmer.

The best thing you can do in a relationship is not tell, but listen.

Yea. maybe I should put some more effort on taking her exciting places...and I'll try not to be too confrontational about it all, I'll just try to show her new interesting things and maybe she'll get interested in something.

Tell her just like that, if you cant open up to your women and tell her exactly what you think you got b***** issues.
ehh, I've got a bit of experience under my belt that tells me saying to my woman "You're great in bed, I love your cooking, but I find you boring as a stick and I wish you would get a hobby" isn't the most productive way to get my thoughts across. It would be a great way to break up with her though :eatpop

This also would be a delicate subject, but perhaps some therapy to help her get her mind off her mother and moving forward would help a lot. I know my wife got a lot better once her therapist helped her realize that her mother wasn't going to change, and she was better off facing reality and moving on. She's hardly talked to her mom in about 5 years, and it's really been a good step.

Beyond that, maybe an approach relating to her writing? What does she write about? Are there some interests there that could be followed up on? Or some ideas on things she might do or experience to become a better writer?

Ive got some too, and the less dancing around an issue you do the faster you will get your desired results.

Try taking her as somewhere. Throw her on the back of the bike with some overnight stuff and go somewhere nice where you two can try out new stuff. If she refuses to do new things and just sits around nagging all day, leave.

I don't know how old you are (you sound young) but take my advise, if your wondering why your with her then get out now. It sounds like your with her out of convenience if your not attracted to her personality.......................................................................

Well that or she can suck a golf ball through a garden hose after you PIITB, we all have a soft spot for dirty girls :boink or hard spot rather:bananafu:
