Hey, I wrecked my bike last year and cracked the stator cover. I replaced the cover and 13,000 miles later my bike dies. After troubleshooting a lot I took off the stator cover and noticed on one of the wires that went to the stator the insulation was eaten through and touching the primary.
I assume that I installed it wrong and didn't run the wires correctly and that's how the insulation got ate up and caused my stator to go bad. Anyways, I just ordered a new stator and I want to know how the heck to install it correctly so that the same problem doesn't happen again. Stators aren't cheap... lol
Btw, it's an '08 Kawasaki 650R.
Thanks,
Dalen
