If you are really hitting balance point you can ride out a wheelie for as long as you want. When you hit balance point if you back of the throttel for second the bike will "hang" there. At that point you can either blip the trottel or just hold it constant and you will hold the speed.

Make sure you cover the rear brake!!! and make sure you know how to use it while in a wheelie. I have know people to loop a wheelie and they said "I was covering the rear brake"... well duh... you have to know how how it feels and how to use it

good luck

Here is how you know your at the balance point...........

TIME STANDS STILL..................

Get on a chair and balance it on two legs while you hold the back of it. When you figure out that feeling of how time slows down and everything is more pronounced.........youll have it

Oh and for 40 bucks you can get a unicycle. Its how I learned what balance really was.

okay i realy think your right about not being in BP, i realy need to practice with the rear brake im never on it while in a wheelie i always forget cause im so focused on the wheelie.
If you are to faocused on the wheelie and not the breaks then it's going to get ugly quic when you get them up more. When you are at balcance point a little to much and you go over and the only thing that can save you is if you hit that rear break fast.

a few good spots in pittsburgh, but I wont be back to living steady in pittsburgh for another 6 months. Im about 1 1/2hours northeast in school till late August. No spots whatsoever up here, so i am forced to hit the streets. Lancaster, PA is middle-eastern PA between harisburg and philly.
