I think 1200r is alright, mine idles there abouts, but to adjust the idle you will find it on the left side of the bike as you sit on it, just between the tank and the frame you will see a gold looking screw, that will do it.elkymutt said:

Anyone know how to adjust the idle on the FZ6??? I just got it back from the dealer and they must have set it higher than before. Before it was idling at about 1040 and now it's idling around the 1200's. It's just too much hassle to take it back and not have the bike to ride for a few days...

1200 is what mine idles at also.
1200 is what the manual calls for. 1600 is fast idle.
