that dood is a accident looking for a place to *Darwin* hisass any solvent in a "oxygen rich" environment (especially *pressurized*) is a wicked combo. he would have a much better survival likelihood if he used a "inert" gas for pressurisation.... that will make a real nice *BOOM* when it goes off....

I think it's awesome. A little crude for the intended purpose, but very neat. A metal tank, inert gas charging, and better ignition and that thing would rock. I don't see why he would get in trouble really. It's just fire, it's not an explosive (yet ) As long as he doesn't burn anything or piss his neighbors of he'll be OK. Great imagination!

So there is no law against this? Seems cool to me.
But I can see him lighting his pants leg on fire ...running down the street screaming as the gas nozzle flails behind him burning down houses and shrubbery as he passes. He looks like some character out of "The Governators" movie, The Running Man.
I was a major pyro in my youth as well. I had to go to the principals office in H.S. for burning up a fireant mound in the smoking area.
It looks like the old Army model flamethrower used on Guadalcanal. I'll look it up.

There is still air in the tank, with which he used to pressurize said tank. If he gets crazy enough, the heat can still travel up the line. Alcohol does have a fairly low flash point, meaning it gets hot enough and poof, it ignites without an open flame.

The amount of tubing he has is probably enough to keep him safe for a while, but if he goes nuts on the 4th, with constantly pressurizing and igniting, I could see a Darwin award being handed out.

He did put an in-line one-way valve in there to prevent that. He should be pretty safe...though finding a better ignition method than a regular blowtorch might be in order.
