I would put a map in the glove box and go out and get lost , then try and find my way home. I found a few good spots in this part of the state to "play" in.
I do this and I can't get lost anymore. Park me anywhere in the state of WI, don't tell me where I am and don't give me a map. I'll wander for about 1/2 an hour and I'll hit a road that I've been on before. I've ridden all over this state.

More riders should really try getting lost. It's fun, and you'll see more of the state.

I find myself doing this quite a bit anymore. When I'm always riding alone it's about the only way I can amuse myself.

I tried doing this a month or so ago and couldn't really get lost , I go into Brown Deer and got lost in 2 or 3 turns. All I did was put the lake at my back and kept going until I hit the sticks. Then I knew where I was and how to get home.

The other option when you're by yourself is to go out and aim for poor little birds, and make them explode when they hit your helmet, hey?

I hate Holy Hill. Teh only good road to ride out there is 167. All teh other roads suck balls. Way too many trucks driving in the middle of the road. Way too much gravel, dirt, sand, and various shit that trucks dump all over. Way too many blind turns (ie. every turn). Way too many narrow roads with no yellow lines.

I could go on...

But I really cant stand it. Unfortunately there are no nice roads in the area other than Holy Hill, which really sucks.

Track days are looking more amd more appealing.

There's always Waterville road, hwy Y, Hwy H when not under construction, ZZ and quite a few others. I'm looking at doing a good ride on Sunday morning and hitting some of these roads.

Y and 18 meet just outside of Jefferson, and run towards eagle/palmyra area... that is the way I take to get there... anyone coming from the east would be going a different way.
shit, i was just on that last weekend. Is there some sort of race car sitting on the front yard of a house on the south side of the road? I saw something that looked like a GT40 at 60mph in pitch black.
