I just washed my wife's bike tonight and when I turned it on the headlight fuse blew. Its an almost brand new 06 ninja 500, it then proceeded to blow the two replacement fuses. The wires and light bulb all appear to be in good shape. Help?!?! I have no clue whats up with it.

Try disconnecting the headlight and putting a new fuse in. If the fuse still blows, it maybe that the connector is bad or there is bad wiring.

God I hope its not the wiring, I hate electrical!! lol Thanks man, maybe I can get the bike mechanic down the street to look at it for free.

You know you should pull the fuse for the track anyway right?.....Just leave it, who needs a headlight anyhow :dunno

Be carefull if this guy comes over to fix your wife's bike. He made magical smoke come out of my new walmart stereo with out any power getting to it somehow. :twofinger. Still works though :lao

Let me know if you need a multi-meter, got a snap-on one you can borrow.

Not yet, it will still work, just wont measure amperage.

If you want to mess some more stuff up and blow more fuses in my car I got a manual at checker that has wiring diagrams in it.:rolleyes :twofinger
