Has anyone cut into the seat to make it more comfortable?

Thanks

Yes. I sent my seat to Sargent Cycle. It is more comfortable now, however, it is no Corbin seat.

Check out this link on my website to see a picture of the reshaped and recovered seat:

Um, well, to make more comfortable? No. To not be tippytoeing the bike with my 30 inch inseam? Yes. Had a little party in my friend's garage a few days ago using the electric turkey carver to shave down the seat. Only a very thin strip of padding is separating my arse from the seat pan right now, but at least I am a bit more secure with my stops. My best friend and I have an appointment at Corbin this coming Friday to have custom seats made for his YZF-R1 and for my FZ6. We will be driving approx. 100 miles from our homes here in the East Bay to the factory in Hollister. The best part is that afterwards we get to "try out" our new seats on scenic, twisty, hwy 25 before heading home. God I love my life!!! :banana
