A guy at work bought a ninja 250 last night as his first bike (has owned 2 moto-scooters before). He's got full gear except boots which I talked him into buying, and he's going to take MSF before he takes the bike on the freeway/highway. He had 1 question for me that I didn't know the answer to... I guess he's having some trouble shifting past 3rd gear. He said he was going about 35 or 40 when he tried to shift, and I told him he might just need to rev the engine a little bit... don't know if that's right. What could be causing this?

Hey seattlesucks...why does it suck so bad...let me give you a heads up...you have rain, yes? Ok, and you also have mountains, climate and temperature changes...you can ride twisty roads on some badass sportbike in the spring and summer, you can go visit beautiful National Parks and canyons, you can go rock climbing, snowboard in the winter time...I can continue...

...when you think somewhere you live sucks, try somewhere else and see how you like it...

Sorry for the rant, but I'm from the Bay Area in CA and now live in South Florida...I can do none of those things mentioned above that I used to do...you can enjoy them all...

...South Florida Sucks...
Well, you're right about all of that... None of that stuff is actually IN seattle though. :) I've lived in 2 other towns in washington, and also briefly in the bay area...

Seattle sucks because of the rain, all of the rich people who are (huge) jerks, housing prices, lack of decent places to eat, the fact that all of your friends live at least 45 minutes away so you never have any time to hang out, nobody speaks english, the local news is worse than any other place I've lived (They once ran a story on a lost puppy, another time they ran a story on how norstrom changed their display rack), the people here are WUSSIES, I hate waiting for the train, it's impossible to find your way out of downtown, it's impossible to park, it's impossible to leave your house if there is a mariner's/seahawks/sonics/UW game... UW is here, which is my major complaint (go cougs), all of the houses are built without AC or good ventilation even though it gets up to 90 with 90% humidity for a few weeks in the summer, all the people that live here are screwing up the woods by going there too much, obnoxious lexus drivers, bad mass transit, Microsoft, Starbucks, Boeing, crappy radio stations... It's better than where I grew up though. haha.

Seriously, my name is mostly a joke. This is a decent town I guess..
