2001 GSXR-600:
After riding for 30-60 minutes, sometimes longer, I get a red warning light and the temperature indicator on the display alternately displays the temperature and "FI". When it happens the temperature displayed is normal. Once I get stopped, I use the kill switch and go into dealer mode. The display then shows "CHEC".
The owners manual states to take it into a dealer at that point. The bike still runs fine, and when I restart it the whole process starts over again or I might not get it again for the rest of the day. I know I have adequate oil and coolant levels. I just replaced the oil pressure sensor hoping that would address this issue.
Suggestions welcome.
Thanks.
