I had my 1k service done on my bike. When I went to pick it up today in the service room they had a bran new Buell Citysx sitting there. apparently it just got assembled. Over all I like the bike. The see through pannels were pretty cool. What I didnt like was the hand gaurds, head light cage, and the rubber on top of the intake box. How ever I also loved the powder coated black wheels.... I am considering getting mine done like that but keeping the chrome lip on the sides. I like the Idea of the black wheels because after riding my bike there is so much fricken brake dust on them they look black. That way I dont need to clean the wheels as much because the dirt will blend in.

I just thought I would share what I thought of this bike.

I just saw pictures of this bike in a Harley flyer that my dad got in the mail. I have to say it looks pretty stupid. I mean, are you going to take this bike off-roading? What is the point of the hand-guards and the headlight cage???

Jake - I agree with you. Its a street bike so there really isnt a need for all the off road stuff on it.

Falco- A lot of people dont like Harley. Thats cool people are intitiled to their own opinion. But save your "Too bad its a harley" comments to other areas of the board. Or better yet keep them to your self.

Chaser - I didn't know they were doing that good over there. Too bad I dont see many of them on the road here. IMO they are some really nice bikes and I am loving mine.

BuellBolt - With tax and everything it was $352.17. The dealer does a lot to it and checks over everything to make sure everything is holding up well worth taking it in then having to take the time to do all the stuff that they did. After all the adjustments the bike is so nice and man does the thing really move. I dont know if they did something with the throttle responce or what but the think moves like a bat out of hell now.

I only bring my bike in as a last resort. Call it a pride thing but I want to know what is going on with my bike. I have had minimal problems with it and am not afraid to take it on trips, very trust worthy I'd say.

Silver350, come out some 2 Wheel Tuesday if your schedule works out. What Buell you have?
As you can see by my pic (and name) I ride a S3 "Thunderbolt". Most of the time I have the hard bags on. Maybe see you around?

I think I saw something somewhere about how when they designed the CityX they were really into the whole 'motard' look. Maybe this was another bike or something, since I don't exactly know what 'motard' is and it sounds close to 'retard' which is like...say hand guards on a street bike right? Anyway, I think the bike looks awesome, I was at the dealer yesterday checking one out...gorgeous...

Hand guards are VERY popular here. Not so much on sportbikes, but on dual-sports and standards they are really common. People use them for keeping their hands warm in the winter and protection from rocks and stuff.
