Picked it up on Monday. Got some pix now! Got new sprockets, tires, chain and frame sliders in the mail already. Still needs an oil change though. This bike hasnt been out since '98!!!! It still even has '98 tags on it. I think my registration fee is going to rip me a new ass since the old owner didn't check off "non-op". Does anyone know how that works for me for all you CA resident?

Nice Bike! Don't know about CA but Hawaii makes you pay for all the back years plus a 15% penalty for every year thats back due. My GSXR wasn't regged for 3 years when I originally got it and it cost a bit over $240 to bring it up to date.
It's about $62 a year normally based on weight.

Yeah, I would suggest not riding it until you get the new tires in. Tires that old that have been sitting that long are gonna be as soft as glass.

Just noticed something...What's the story with the left side scrapes??
The guy I bought it from low sided it years ago. I'm planning on painting the bike later on the road.

I checked with my registration and it was $260 to get it the new tags on it. Not too bad....as long as it didnt exceed $400, I was cool!
