That had nothing to do with loose bolts. Look for cracks in the holder! Sheet aluminum doesn't like vibrations.

amazing that could happen. That plate was in there deep. I didn't hear any offers to pay for the damage.LOL

Haha I love the look exchanged between the two guys on the side of the road. Soooo, do you seriously want me to pay for that? What do we do in this situation?

Mine is on with steel cable ties.

They'll happily hold through the apocalypse. As will the fender.

I have a Speedmetal set-up. The License plate IS the bracket support. The turn signals hook to the bottom of the rear with half (1/3?) tubes that hold the wires. The tag then connects the turn signals and gives it the strength. No frills, nothing extra. Law says you got to have turn signals, a stop light and a tag. So that is all that's there. I don't think it can get any more lite weight then that.
What cracked me up was the guys fooling with the tag. Reminded me of monkeys discovering a football.:lgh2
