helmet goes on mirror gloves go in it. jacket i wear inside. some times i lock my helmet up in citys or big towns

What do you guys do with your gear when you leave your bike in a parking lot? I see a few bikes at the local mall and they just set their helmets ontop of their gas tanks and lay their jackets over the seats but I'm to worries about my stuff getting stolen.
