I've been checking on tires and can't find anything to match up through metzeler, dunlop, or michelin. Any other suggestions??

So...New to this section. I've got a bunch of buddies who are planning on riding from Chico to Fort Bragg, Ca. using only fireroads, and forest service roads. They are all on dual sports and the like. I was just wondering if anyone has tried running something like a Metzller nubby on an FZ6 and taken it offroad. Am I retarded for even considering this or is it plausible??

It can be done. I saw a WSBK (I believe) 600RR set up with dirt tires in one of the British magazines a while back.
