Bump. You bought a 929 for your newbie girlfriend to ride and she got scared? Are you surprised?

Was it for her to ride or for her to be a passenger? I guess I've misunderstood you.
This ad is not for discussion of whether my ideals are inline with those of other members, it is to sell the bike I have listed. To answer your question, with no further debate (unless you would like to email or PM me) - Yes, I purchased the 929 for my GF, as I too learned how to ride on a 929 (they are VERY forgiving to a newbie rider showing respect/smoothness with their throttle hand). In case you are curious - I ride the 929 I learned on, as I have fallen in love with and moded it heavily (not squid mods), and have only been 'down' on it while racing at the track (once).

Thanks for the interest. :)

Is your 954 better than the 929?
Use of the word 'better' is often opinionated, so my opinion of 'better' may differ from yours.

I no longer have the 954, only this 929 and the one I ride. Since I kept my 929 with 25k miles on it...Im sure you can easily understand which model I like the best. :D Liking a moto is often linked to how comfortable you feel on the bike, as well as how well it performs. For me, the 954 only offers a slight advantage in the low range - for $40 a 15T AFAM front sprocket can be had and increase the performance of the 929 over the 954 (within legal boundaries, and slightly beyond).

Great looking bike. Low mileage. Very clean. Someone must buy this bike! If I didn't already have one, I'd buy it myself. One note though...that is actually a 2000 CBR929RR. The 2001's have a black tank and the majority of the fairings is yellow...like mine.

Thanks for the kudos on the bike. However, please do not pollute my classified posting with pictures of your bike and what you think is accurate. As noted in the Title of this thread, I am selling a 2001 bike with 2000 bodywork. You can clarify your misconceptions much more easily via PM/email and avoid trying to correct someone publicly. Most people know exactly what they are selling, especially when they have a clean title in-hand. :) Please edit your post and remove your pic so I do not have to get the Moderator to do it. Thanks!

How hard was it crashed? What did u have to replace other than the plastics?
Who said it was crashed? I purchased the bike as it is - no damaged noted or indicated by previous owner. I personally like the 2000 Y/B better than the 2001 B/Y anyway, so it was a bonus for me.

Probably IS time to delete this ad and restart it, since I have people posting their opinions and sofourth, rather than posting ONLY if they are interested in the bike. *sigh* I will take care of it. Thanks for the interest.
