I started with the plan to run a hollowed out 12mm rod through the plastic ends on the clip ons to give strength to support the mirrors and tap the end 8mm to let the indicator screw on.
I thought it was going well. One was finished then.

Had a wee failure, nearly finished the second one and I cracked it in half mounting it in the vice to tap the 12mm thread.
After a rethink I have made a new narrower adapter using the alloy mounting bobbin supplied with the mirror.
Drilled and tapped so the weight will be taken on the 12mm rod, just as well because the indicator mounting thread I discovered is only plastic.

Got both bar end indicators and mirrors fitted.
Ended up machining the alloy bobbins that the mirrors were already mounted on to accept the 12mm rods I hollowed for the wires and taped a 8mm thread to accept the indicators.
A picture ready to screw in.
