I just picked up a 1995 yzf 600r as my first real sports bike. I got a great deal (1000 bucks) on it and its in perfect mechanical and cosmetic condition except for the fact that the bike's plastics were painted a hideous flat black

Other than the fact that the PO painted mine gloss black mine looked just the same...(Tal-Strip will remove the offensive hue easily)

The 95-96YZF is a really fun bike with potential to be a fun track bike as well as a decent sport tourer.

Here are a few pics of mine...

Or even my good friends street fighter/commuter:

Pretty much the YZF can be whatever you want it to be. Its not the best bike for any specific type of riding, but with a little set-up its works well at just about anything you want. Good Luck.

Yep, that is infact what it looked like before being repainted. I was thinking of actually doing it up in a yellow/purple scheme with the bottom fairing and tank in purple, and the side, front and rear fairings in yellow.

I also have decided to name it the purple viper, and am looking for some purple cobra stickers to put on it :D
