I have been without a sportbike for way too long and I finally gave up on the chopper and traded it for this. It was a basket case when I got it but not anymore. 2005 GSXR 1000, nothing special other than the paint which is a silver and chevy cobalt orange. I also have the kick ass frame sliders from hell LOL. Basically half a cage....

Dont know for sure how long im keeping the paint but for now its ok....

Thank you! I just like black too much. I was thinking of getting all the carbon fiber pieces they make for it body wise and then paining the rest of the plastics flat black.... But my daughter loves this color along with everyone else LOL!

Demon Bell said:
Legend has it that Evil Road sprits have been latching on to motorcycles for as long as there have been bikes on the road. These Evil Road Spirits are responsible for mechanical problems and bad luck along a journey. Legend goes on to say that by attaching a small bell on your bike The Evil Road Spirits will become trapped inside the bell where the constant ringing drives them insane, making them lose their grip until they fall to the ground. (Ever wonder where pot holes come from?) Legend also has it that the mystery of the Motorcycle Bells (demon Bells, Spirit Bells) carries twice as much power when it is purchased by a friend or loved one and given as a gift. Show someone how much you care. Offer them defense against the Evil Road Sprits! Give a Motorcycle Bell and share the Legend of Good Luck it offers to a motorcycle and its rider

I think I've heard that before. I thought only Harley riders needed all that extra help to keep the break down gremlins at bay.

sweet bike man!! What do you mean by basket case though?
The thing came to me in many pieces. The guy I got it from had taken it completely apart to sell it for parts and keep the front end and rear wheel for his bobber project so I talked him out of doing that with a little persuasion of trading my almost done chopper for it all. So I had to completely reassemble the bike pretty much from the ground up. I still think that it will have to go into the shop as there is a dead spot around 80 when you give it gas it just sits there when it should be taking off like a bat outta hell???? Im thinkin power commander and tuning and ill be straight....

I need all the help I can get LOL!!!! Im just trying to keep them at the Magwi stage LOL!!!!

Congrats on the bike. wouldn't that bell scratch ur front fender tho?

Nope looks awful close but it isnt:)

I really like that paint job too. It reminds me of that burnt orange kawi came out with a couple of yrs ago. I would like to see how it looks with the silver replaced with carbon.

You know that is exactly what I was thinking last night when I was lookin at it in the garage. And it is really close to that color.

i heard with the bells that you have to have someone else buy and INSTALL them on your bike for you...you can never touch the bell yourself...plus that it needs to be on the lowest spot of ur bike...just my 2cents lol

as for the color of the bike im diggin it...i think if you change anything the silver with carbon would look sick...

Yup they make a ton of carbon for this bike. I have found all the silver pieces in carbon along with the front fender and tail section along with a frame cover that is carbon that would look really good IMHO....

Yes someone else has to buy the bell for you but you can touch it and install it on your own bike and that was about the lowest spot I could install it....

Nice trade, hope that flat spot at 80 works out w/ no hitches. The color is hot, I'd definetly keep the orange. No doubt. The silver looks great too but I think you are on the right track with the carbon pieces. GL
