Finally got my bike back...

I moved to Heidelberg, Germany in February and yesterday the movers finally delivered my household goods, including my motorcycle. As expected, the battery doesn't have enough juice to turn the crank, but I hooked it up to a Battery Tender and it should be ready to go for my first ride on the autobahn tomorrow, the 4th of July. Trucks aren't allowed on the autobahn on Sunday, so if the weather is clear I will take the bike out (put some air in the tires, and run her through her paces). If I remember I will bring the digital camera and take some pics. I was getting a bad case of PMS (parked motorcycle syndrome)...but now I have my baby back. Had to share.

I took a job with USAREUR (US Army Europe) as an anti-terrorism team chief in the Anti-Terrorism Division of the G-3, as a civilian. The laws are very similar with one huge exception, on the autobahn (with obvious exceptions) there is no speed limit. In fact, people get pulled over by the Polizei for not getting out of the passing lane so other drivers can go past them at 150 mph. I will see about getting some video but right now I'm just enjoying getting my bike back.
