possible to cut fiberglass fairings and still keepthem looking ok?

i want to mod one of my fairings by cutting the fiberglass but just curious if anyones ever done it and its looked ok...

it all depends on what your cutting it with and remember any time you cut it might weaken piece but all you can do is try and are they race fairings or aftermarket replacements and some of the guys in the racers corner might be able to help you better plus a pic of the fairing would help

i usually use a dremel tool they have a million diffrent things to use so just figure out what will work best for the shape you are goin to cut out and rough cut it then go back and clean it up with another bit that will make it look good

if you don't resin the edge after cutting, it's gonna splinter and crack like crazy. i wouldn't do it unless you're gonna repaint it.

thanks for all the good advice and adamf2 that fairing came out awesome man...im planning on cutting a few things and bevelling them in and maybe smoothing the edges, ill post up after...
