Fedor Emelianenko, Brett Rogers to square off in MMA fight - ESPN

Well I gotta say from a business standpoint this was a stupid move for Strikeforce! Fedor hasnt fought since January and Brett Rogers is a monster with real KO power. I know they had to pay Fedor a shit ton to get him to sign and if he gets flattened out in the first few minutes it will have been a huge waste. Now as a fan im excited as hell to see Fedor fight again after all he is the top heavyweight in the world. Bottom line is this could be real quik and a huge win for Rogers or another top contender getting schooled by Fedor!!

We will see. Its hard to bet against Fedor. Might not be the best business decision by strikeforce if they want to build him up as the unbeatable champ but what the hell. As a fan I want to see two guys with KO power squaring off. Fedor is the best, he has to fight the best opponents available.

Agreed! I definately wouldnt bet against Fedor and I think he will end up winning but imagine the fallout if Rogers rolls thru him!! I really want to see Shane Carwin fighting for the UFC title he is probably the best matchup for Lesnar and if Dana White could pull off a miracle and bring Fedor in there would be some great fights!

You act like Fedor has no chance. In his most recent fights he annihilated Sylvia and Arlovski in the first rounds.

I see this going by way of submission in the first round (armbar or RNC) - Emelienenko. But I also think that Fedor has better stand up than Rogers too. We'll see. Either way I'll be surprised if it makes it out of the first round.
