Something is bent on that bike. I'd be concerned about rear wheel tracking. Was that thing in a flood? Why are the headlight gaskets and post grey? The gas tank on the right hand side will look horrible in person.

If I know the people on this forum, they'll be able to pick that apart with a discriminating eye.

At least he's being up front about the salvage title and mileage, unlike Illusion-doofus with the candy orange one. The right side scratches look mild enough; unfortunately the previous owner didn't install frame sliders. But DAMN the subframe is way outa whack, and being completely silent about it in the listing doesn't pass the sniff test.

[edit]I'm not an ebay whiz but is this shill bidding (usermoose668, pimpirinll)??

what you see there Kneedragger is when someone has put in a maximum bid, and then another person tries placing it bid that is greater than the current bid, but not greater than that persons max bid. But, it ups the persons current bid to what the other person tried bidding at.

usermoose's put in a max bid of $1725, which out bid rwest at $1525. some one else came along and tried putting a bid in at $1575, but since this was less than usermoose's max bid, usermoose's bid was up to $1575. This continued until someone out bid usermoose's max bid at $1751.33.

I don't get it. Why so many $50.00 incremental bids by usermoose? The timestamps don't look like automatic bidding to the max. I'm not an ebay expert, though. I'm sure either you or someone like Clouseau (sp?) will chime in and edumacate me. Also, how would this apply to pimpirinll's bids? Why did he outbid himself... TWICE?

Hehe... that orange bike thread was hilarious.

OK, thanks for explaining. It does seem odd that the competing bids aren't shown. And that $4200 bid retraction looks sucky -- could it have left pimirinll holding the bag with an overinflated bid?

[edit]No, my mistake -- retracted before pimirinll's bids...

90% of the bids have no recs. Fishy. If it was my sale I would be nervous as hell.

It would make a great second parts bike. Thank God he mentions its a perfect beginners bike. Whew. I was worried my bike wasnt for beginners. :rolleyes

There's no way I would buy such a machine. This dude say's that it's worth $6,500. I just bought a brand new shift red fz6 for a price of $5899. Out the door with tax and everything it was $6366. I wouldn't mess with this thing, no warranty. Cheap price, but you get what you pay for!
