Hi All,

Just trying to figure out what the acronym EAS means? I can't seem to find it. My son in law is AD Marine in Afghanistan and I've heard him use it.

Thanks and God Bless our military men, women and families.

Can't say for sure without the context, but since he is a Marine, how about this from MilitaryWords.com: EAS Expiration of Active Service (United States Marine Corps)?

I have no idea what the context is, so I'm going to throw Emergency Alert System out there

In the AF I've heard it as ETS - Estimated Time of Separation.. Or maybe I've heard it from my husband who's in the Army. :dunno
Actually in the AF we would use DOS=Date of Separation

It's usually only talked about when you are talking about leave (how much more you'll accure before your DOS) and for assignment eligibility.

Assignment eligibility also has some to do w/ TOS (time on station) if you are trying to come OS from CONUS.
