so im on my way to my community service (the irony) for getting arrested back in december. i stop at a stop light about a mile from my house, and this cop pulls up next to me. he rolls down his window and whistles. i pull up my visor thinking that hes gonna tell me to slow down. he yells "Love the bike, what is that a Falco?" i say yes, its a 2002. He tells me that he has the Haga replica mille, and he loves it. he asks me about the suspension if its ohlins like his, i say now, thinking "thanks for rubbing it in dickwad." he asks about my pipes (SL Carbon) and says he loves the sound. he tells me that he knows how easy it is to go fast on these things, and tells me to be careful and to take care of it. so i figured id give it a try and say "So does that mean that your not gonna stop me if i take off and haul ass?" and get this, he says "Hell no, hell, I'll even drag you to 45, ive been meaning to try out this new Intrepid." (Intrepid squad car).

Im like "No fucking WAY!! The light turns green and i hit it, bringing the front wheel up unintentionally. The Cop fucking FLOORS IT, screetching tires and all. I accel up to about 50 and let off. we get to the next light, and he says "I knew i had no chance, but I like these Dodges much more than the Crown Vic." I tell the cop that he needs to convert more of the officers over to his side, we said our goodbyes, and he tells me to be careful, and to keep both wheels ont he ground. the light then turns green and i went on my way.

i couldnt believe it. there are truelly cool cops out there, i just wish there was more.

...and send a copy to his commanding officer, as well as the local tv station. :bananafu:
I am starting to believe that baldman is the cop we are all talking about...lol
That's pretty awesome. I was talking to a cop I know when I got a ticket and he was telling me about how he used to have a bike and run the backroads and all that. Said he wishes he still had a bike but he got married recently and aparently the wife isn't fond of the idea. It was pretty cool - he basically told me to be safe and not to speed in town.
You guys would be ammazed how many cool cops there are and ones that ride bikes. We have had some that came by to watch people stunt. As to you bald guy you should just sell your bike and get a trycycle. Wait a second that can be dangerous to get a rocking chair. As the saying goes I did not get a bike to tiptoe through life only to safely arrive at death.

Are there no tracks for you to test/tune on in Alaska?

As far as racing a car: What is the point? Unless you are riding a 'Fiddy', VERY unskilled, or running against a top-fuel dragster - Where is the competition?

Yes we have a NHRA drag strip up here and even 4 or 5 top fuel cars and this one guy that built a street leagle mustang running low 6's.

So your not confused anymore.I want to know what my top speed realy is.It shows 167 but i know that's not true.If I could run a cop he could clock me and tell me how fast I was really going.

According to those things on the side of the road and at the strip I'm 6 to 7 mph off.
As a cop myself I find this story bullshit. No cop in their right mind would drag a bike in a marked vehicle. For one every body and their brother is looking for a cop to do something stupid so they can call it in and get them in trouble. Second if the cop did ride and new what he was talken about he would no that his car could not hang with the bike so why ask to drag and run the risk of loosing your job over a race you know you can't win. It just seems like some hadn't posted anything in a while and need to think of something good. Well you sure did your thinking and you made yourself look like a assbag!

i dont think the cop ever thought he had a chance, as he said after it happened. as for loosing his job, i dont think he would have done it if there were numerous cars on the road, but there wasnt. the thought of creating a fake thread on here so it gets hits sounds so infantile to me that i am truelly offended that you would say such a thing. when it all comes down to it i really dont give two squirts of piss whether you believe me or not Sarge.
It happens. I raced my temporary roomate I was living with when my house was being built. He rolled up on me on I-95 in his Crown Vic and I was in my 850 Turbo Wagon Volvo. We rolled up to about 110mph. People must have been SURE I was gonna' get arrested. He turned his lights on and turned around at a cut through between the lanes. I know people were amazed.

Every time I see him in uniform when he's next to a civilian, I make sure to throw him a huge bird. Hahahaha. And when I see him on duty when I'm on my supermoto I'm busting out a HUGE wheelie.

My buddy has a C5 Vette. Cop pulled up next to him at a light and had a very simliar conversation as the original post had. Cop told him turn off traction control, and stand on it. My buddy was understandably dubious. Cop SWORE he wouldn't arrest or ticket him. So my buddy roasts it through 3rd up to about 70mph.

Cop caught him at the next light and said it was awesome.

Love it...

Barry
Nice to see some cool cops...the ones around here are douches. One of them harassed my friend because he was walking his moped down the street. The cop asked him if it was stolen, he said no it's his. He asked him to provide proof, so he showed him the title.... Then the cop told him he needed a license to ride it and asked him for his license. Apparently the cop didn't know the 49cc or less law. :lol So after all that hassle, and after radioing into the station to have it confirmed that he didnt need a license for it, the cop left him to go WALK his moped 15 feet home. :angry

That's the general attitude of the police around here.
