My privacy fence is gone and the tree in the front yard shed a few large limbs, but no huge damage...

Just around my corner (literally) is a local park with giant oak trees, palm trees, and others...There is at least a few GIANT oak trees completely uprooted and laying in the middle of the road...There's also a palm tree in the road that was uprooted...

Go up the road a little and there's a giant oak on top of what appears to be a Ford Escort or something like that...All I can see is the back wheel..The rest of the car is now made of wood...

My mothers house had a tree fall on it, but the damage is minimal, if any...

How's everyone else doing??

I was fine....although I lost my damn banana tree in the back yard.

No structural damage that I know of. I'll look around more tomorrow afternoon. I just got off the phone with some buddies who are polk county deputies. They say eastern polk is pretty bad. One said that he has never seen anything like it. He couldn't talk long but would call me with more info later on. I've never really heard him sound like he did. He sounded like he was in a state of shock. He was working the Winter Haven area. To everyone over there I hope you are ok. If anyone needs help with clean up or anything like that just let me know. I'm more than willing to help. I got kind of bored with the storm actually. Guess I just didn't get the full grunt of it.

Bartow peeps..... I heard you got it really bad too. Check in. I've been wondering about you guys.

Nothing yet, but the storm seems to have blown it's load already. They were predicting it would cut right through Jacksonville at first, but now it seems it will pass to the south of us and we should have some nasty rain and winds between 1am and 7am.

Good lord, it feels like a tornado blowing through out here on the island. I have no idea how the double garage doors are staying intact, but they are hanging in there. Our banana trees(we have like 12 or so) are gone as I could tell from peeping out of the glass door with a flash light, they are shreaded to pieces. We have a Papaiya tree in the front yard, but I'm not sure if it faired too well yet... We haven't entered the calm part of the eye yet... To dark to see any damage I heard breaking glass and loud thuds outside. Wind gusts here are 80-90 mph they said on my battery radio a couple mins ago. Its pouring rain here, I can't see it, but I can hear it. Flooding is pretty bad here on the island, doesn;t hurt the houses much b/c they are all built higher and 2 story's, but you can't get off the island with the roads flooded... Powers been out for awhile, my laptops battery has 48 mins left on it :(. I set up some "mood lighting"(candles, lol) but its getting really freaking hot in here!!! Anywhoo take care you guys, I'll check things out in the morn...

I got some great video during the storm. You will see it in our upcoming DVD. You will laugh your ass off!! My cameraman Barry McCockner and myself Mike Hunt were reporting live during the storm!! :D :D Got some incredible footage. What I was most concerned about was the huge old oak that covers my house. It held together and no damage. Lots of limbs down in the yard.

Nadda here....We were bracing for the worst of it and it completely skipped us. I hope everyone is ok though. Just remember that items can be replaced

If anyone needs any help (cleanup) send us a PM.

Ouch, hopefully some type of insurance you have will cover the damage to the car, windshields are frikken expensive!

it barely even rained here, by 11 pm I was pulling the bike out of the shed and going riding, and btw, if I remember correctly, in FL windshields are required to be replaced at the insurance companies cost. no matter what.

windshields are covered aslong as you got soem decent coverages...if just pip and pd they dont "have to" replace them......

damage wise, south side of lakeland at the g/f's house, there was little to no damage....
at my house, (auburndale) just soem limbs in the yard--750 was nice and comfy in the boared up porch
bartow at cypherorc's g/fs house they had a tree in the road blocking trafic and destroying overhead wires....

other than that...all is good...hope everyone made it through alright....

RIP to the people in punta gorda who didnt make it through this devistating storm

As Kenny said, we partied it up at Jen's last night. The winds were pretty stout....not as much rain as I thought. We got pretty lucky.

Here's some of the action.....
