Newbie here who is trying to start with simple things. I have a '08 CBR600 and want to put CRG Hindsight mirrors on it. I started with just the mirrors, but they don't fit on the stock bar ends. So then I bought the Billet internal adaptor, but there's no room inside grip for the adapter to fit.

Am I just being stupid here? Is it a matter of moving the controls out a bit to make room? I'm hesitant to mess with the controls.

Any insight would be appreciated.

I've no idea how any of this stuff looks, but you can move controls no problem. They're clamped together with a screw or two. Loosen those screws and you can move and rotate them along the bar.
