Im thinking of moving to florida for the winter with my GF, the only problem is that ill be paying most of the bills. My boss is the one whos pretty much talking me into going.. and he was trying to figure out how much it would cost me to live there.... but i think he was giving me some lowball estimates on my new cost of living so that he wont have to give me that big of a raise.

Currently im living at home with the folks and only paying rent (half), and day to day shit like eating, going out etc.

Im wondering how much I should expect to pay for each of the following:

1. Electric
2. Water
3. Cable
4. Cell phone
5. Trash pickup
6. Rent (variable I know... Im figuring about 500ish)
7. Anything else im forgetting off the top of my head?

Phone-$71.50 (Verizon Freedom plan.. unlimited LD calls. Great since both mine and my wifes familys lives on the East Coast.

thats it... I live in base housing all the rest is free.

I would love to live in Philly again.... I was paying $600 a month for rent.. I couldnt find a place here for under $1000.

I have a roommate and we live in a pretty nice townhouse that he owns.

This is for each of us.

Rent - $460.00 each
House Bills Approx - $180.each (cable and internet $100, house cleaner $75, heat and electric $180) Water comes every 3 months - extra $80 total.
cell - $50.00

So just for living and phone is about $700 for me.

My house was built in 1946, seemingly before insulation was invented. It's brick + plaster construction. It's a brick oven on hot summer days and a walk-in freezer on cold winter nights. The only way to keep it comfortable is to throw big steaming wads of cash into the utility company's gaping maw.

Electric: 50$ in winter, $300 in summer
Gas: 50$ in summer, $300 in winter
Water & Sewer: $40
Phone (two lines,DSL, and long distance): 200$

You can live without tv and a cell phone. Ditch them.
