OK guys, so this is definitely a juvenile issue, but why does my clutch stick? It worked when i had the bike facing the curb and dropped it in first with a little gas. Went for a little ride and it was fine, pulled it into the driveway, turned it off, decided i wanted to move it. Turned her on, and couldnt get the clutch to let go, she kept stalling when i dropped it into first, even up around 5k. I tried 3 times, then decided to call it a night.

Help a new guy out?

Thanks a lot

it's ur kickstand. kick up the kickstand before u drop it into first.

if that's not it, somethings broke.

but my answer is the "hit hand on the forehead" answer. (don't ask me how i know...)

to clarify, i read my owner's manual whenever i take a poop. and i read that there's a kickstand sensor, that'll cut off the engine whenever the bike is in gear with the kickstand down.

to simplify: kickstand down + transmission being in gear = engine off. i guess its a safety mechanism, so you don't ride around with ur kickstand down, or put ur bike on ur kickstand while engine is running and in gear.

u were prob flustered that u dropped ur bike and forgot about kickstand, and thought u broke something.

if its not the kickstand. idk.

I'm with Suzie. If your clutch wasn't engaging and you dropped it in gear @ 5k you'd be on your ass. The fact that the bike didn't run out from under you says it's your kickstand.

Yep, probably the kickstand. I remember when i first bought my bike and kept putting it in first and it would stall i was so flipping mad. I thought i bought a lemon and had a friend come over to check it out and he showed me what i was doing wrong and i laughed and felt like a big newb. Anyways stay safe on your 750.
