I did quite a bit of research on this a while ago. I ended up starting to piece together a system with parts you could buy (like radios and headsets and whatnot) but wasn't all in one box.
I ended up getting some Motorola radios, and then will eventually buy these:

The thread that was on the old board is probably LONG gone, but this option seemed to get the most favorable review. One guy had tried the Collett communicators, the Chatterboxes, and ended up using this option of the Motorola radios and Motocomm headsets all the time instead of the previous options.
Plus, if you do it this way, you just take the radios with you where ever you're going and they come in handy instead of having to leave your radios hooked to your helmet.
