The stops on my choke cable have come off so the whole things moves now instead of just the line. i've got one on order but i can't find any how-tos for replacement. do i need to take off the fairings to replace it or can i just remove the fuel tank and air box?

My CBR900RR manual @ manualslib.com, on page 110 shows the fuel tank and airbox removed.
Page 105 shows an exploded view schematic of the tank, airbox, carbs and top of engine view.
I also googled choke cable for that model and it and accompanying parts are available online.
I'll happily talk you through it if you choose a time when I'm available.
I'll message my email address.

the problem is nothing shows the thread path for the cable. it disappeared into the frame and i didn't know where it went or how to access it.
I was able to follow the thread path of the original cable and use pliers to get it seated.
