I've sold some BST's. They were CRAZY light, and they ARE stronger than regular rims. Magnesium wheels are great for the track, but I wouldn't run them on the street-I wouldn't hesitate running BST's on the street. Lightweight rims make a huge difference in turn-in, but you may give up some stability with the BST's. I run a magnesium Marchesini on the front of the SV race bike and it makes a HUGE difference!

right on, thanks for all the input... Actually the BST are what I was looking at.... Another quick question... I guess that it would be ok to run a super light front wheel and a stock back? Maybe the best of both worlds? Nick?

One thing to note carbon fiber does not bend it brakes if overstressed. There have ben some failures of carbon fiber tires in the past resulting in uguy injury if you get them keep an eye on them though the damage might not be visable. The so called gyroscopic force is less on the liter wheels so if you are a big counter steerer you may prefer chaging the rear instead of the front if you only do one and if you fit in that catigory.
