change out a tire or know someone that can. I don't want to pay $60 to have the shop (Devols) do it and I was just looking for someone else who might be able to do it.

Call Chad Walters at "GET IT PERFORMANCE" on Colegate Drive in Marietta. 740-373-9110. I had both my new tires mounted and balanced for $25 plus tax. That's for both, not each. I had the wheels off the bike and took them in and Chad did them while I talked to him. That was dismount, mount, and balance. Didn't scratch my rims either.

Thanks for the info. I think Devols will do it for less if I already have the rim off the bike but I didn't get that price. The $60 was if I just took the bike over and they did it all. The only reason I got that price is b/c I have never pulled the tire off myself and I don't know how hard it would be to get everything back together the right way. Is it very complicated as far as having a lot of parts to keep track of where they go when you remove the rear tire? (for someone who hasn't done it before)

Not hard. Pay attention to how everything comes off. Call Chad and ask him how much for a mount/balance with the wheel on the bike. It can't be over $25. He's a reasonable guy. That's the only place I'll go for a tire change now.

If you want to bring your bike over this weekend I'll help you take the wheels off.

Thanks for the offer. I might take you up on it if I can't figure it out myself but I think I'm going to give it a shot this week sometime. I figure I can probably figure it out since I've done so much other stuff to it already and now that my belts are showing through from the ride yesterday I don't have to worry about riding any more until my new tire arrives. I'll let you know if I need any help. Thanks.

The wheels are easy to get off, but your gonna need a set of stands to get the bike off the ground. If got a couple so let me know if you need help.

Thanks again for the offer but I've got a set of stands and I got if off last night. It came off pretty quick but I think I've got it down as far as how everything will go back together. Now I just have to wait on my new tire to get here. :angry

Got my tire changed there last friday and I'm extremely disappointed with his work. I don't know how you got him to do 2 rims without scratches because I only had 1 and he tore the living shit out of it. I would say that 50% of each side is now scratched down to the bare metal on the rim. I guess you get what you pay for ($10).

Also I called him in advance last week about getting it done and I asked if I needed an apointment to have it done and he was like "no, just bring it in and we'll take care of it" so I did on thursday and he couldn't even do it so I had to make the trip back up there again on friday.

All in all I don't think I will be visiting up there in the future.

How much does he charge, Scott? I had DeVol's scratch the paint off my wheels all the way around.....more paint's starting to flake off, so I think it's time to paint or powdercoat.

Are you sure it was Chad who did the work? Mine turned out great. No scratches, nicks, or anything. Sorry to hear you had trouble bro. Especially since I recommended him. I'll give him a call and bitch at him. LOL.

I'm not sure who any of the guys were but I'm just assuming that it was Chad because when I called up there on the phone the guy that answered yelled for Chad to ask him all the questions that I had so I just figured that he was the one who always does that type of thing. Could be wrong but reguardless my rims are still messed up and there's no changing that now. If I recall correctly it was a shorter stocky guy that did the work.
