Ebay and Paypal are not going to do much, if anything if this was not a legitimate ebay sale. The auction was done outside of ebay, so they do not accept any liability. You could try to fill out this form for "transactions outside of ebay". http://pages.ebay.com/help/tp/isgw-fraud-non-ebay.html . Click on "Item Bought Outside of eBay form". I don't know how much help you'll get from them, but its worth a second of your time.
