BMW is known the world over for its excellent brand of inline-six cylinder powerplants. In most cases, those supremely smooth and powerful engines power the German company's cars and trucks. Apparently, that won't always be the case, though, as BMW has just revealed its new Concept 6 motorcycle at the EICMA Show in Milan.
That is one cool ass motorcycle. REad more about it here... BMW defies logic with six-cylinder Concept 6 motorcycle — Autoblog

I hope it's a huge bike so that my 6'6" frame would fit just nicely when it comes out :twofinger

Looks awesome! I really like the whole transformers look to it ... it's a little cluttered but done in a tasteful way IMO. And I even like the exhaust ...

Dang I too wanna hear that in person :drool

That's why it is only a concept. I am pretty sure they would clean up the design if it were ever to go into production.

But man, i am curious, what would the exhaust note of an inline six cylinder sport bike sound like? Probably, bad ass.

Yeah, it's over-styled, but it's a showbike. That would be dialed back before production. The K1200R was a great riding bike. I haven't ridden the K1300R, as they're not bringing it here yet, but I've ridden the K1300S and liked it as well. This would be pretty much the next step forward in that line, and would I epxect be *really* sweet. The K1200R already felt like being strapped onto a helicopter turbine; this would just be even more so.

i wonder how big it would be and how much it would weigh?

seems to me like it would weigh alot to be pushing on the track. the torque would be awesome though.

i bet it sounds sweet.
Looks to be similar in size to the current K-bikes. Which is large -- this is not a laser-focused supersport, but more in the realm of the 'busa/ZX-14 area.

So its a modern day CBX??
:lol Yeah, pretty much.
