good god. what is with everyone on this site so damn worried about appearing to be a squid lately. Dude, rock what you like on your bike and quit being so insecure. Dont do dumb shit like stand up wheelies on the e-way and you wont be a squid. Having shit on your bike doesnt make you a squid. Wearing ICON doesnt make you a squid. doing stupid shit that endangers others makes you a squid. Case closed.

Now where the hell have all the FTP threads been lately:neener

The term "squid" is about those who ride foolishly and dangerously, often without proper riding gear. Neons have nothing to do with that. Now neons might be looked on as being more "poser" -- those who are more interested in looking fly at the Starbucks than in actually riding the bike.

But hey, it's your bike. Do what makes you happy.

Depends on the color of the neons and the bike its on. If its missmatched then it looks real gay... but they do draw more attention at night which can be both good and bad. As long as you got some knowledge and some skills then you can defend your right to have neons :D

Blue neon is okay. Red OTOH would be squid; and green is poseur. We don't even wanna discuss purple.

I like neons, even if I don't have them on at night. To me they're another way of customizing your bike, like custom paint or a blacked out windscreen. Of course, too much of anything is a bad thing, so keep it in moderation. But neons are cool.

Some (of the many) rules on how to be a man.

1. Do what you want to your bike and stop giving a shit what other people think.
2. Say what you want about what other people do to their bikes and stop giving a shit about censoring yourself so nobody else's widdle feewings get hurt.
3. If you're a safety nazi, neons can only help.

here is a little food for thought, if Spies, Edwards or Hayden got neons on their bikes would it be Poser?

Yes, and I totally agree with his #2 rule.

Don't worry about that fact that he rides a piece of shit overpriced valve breaking hunk of junk Ducati. Those bikes are total crap but people buy them anyway because it makes them feel cool.

Hey, I was just following rule number 2!!! :eek:nfloor
