Yeah I feel ya. It's always in a bad situation that makes you think "dam, it happened to me". Sorry it had to be you bro. Insurance paid up? P.S., screw Scorpio, over priced protection. All alarms are made basically the same, but because they advertise it as a "motorcycle alarm" they charge more. I can take that Scorpio and wire it to my truck and it would work exactly the same. I'm a Viper dealer, so I ordered up a 2 way system, found the starter wires on my bike and tapped in, boom done and saved a chunk of money.

My bike was stolen in Orlando in Jan '07. I rode to work near John Young/Sand Lake Rd at 0630hrs, gassed up at Hess by Super WalMart, and parked at work in the covered parking area.

At noon, I walked outside in full leathers for my rode home to Lakeland. Much to my surprise, my bike was no longer in the parking spot although a co-workers ST1300 was still there.

Long story short, an Osceola County deputy got a hit on her LoJack, popped open the garage and there was my bike along with 3 others that were stolen. Luckily, my bike was in decent condition, unlike the 1000RR next to it which just had its motor removed with a Sawzall. $3500 in insurance money later, my bike was better than ever. The money got her upgraded with Vortex rearsets, Pazzo shorties, HID conversion, Two Bros CF pipe, etc.

The scumbag thieves were students at MMI, and also had computer equipment to flash the ECU with different VIN numbers, as well as tools to place authentic-looking VIN stamps on the frames, according to the SO. There were two thieves working out of a blue dodge caravan that stole my bike. We reviewed the security camera video, and it took them less than 45 seconds to get my bike in the vehicle and leave the scene.

I hope you're as lucky in getting your bike back as I was.
