It's been a few weeks now, have my mind set on either a SV650s or a GS500.
So far it is hard to find either :/
Although i did find two SV650:: 5200$ for a 2003 SV650s w/ 3600 miles on it and a 4900$ 2003 SV650s w/ 4000miles on it, wasnt sure if it is worth it so im posting it to see what u guys think :) should i go for one of those or keep waiting and see if better deal come up.
thanks

I think you're better off with an inline twin. But the 4900 is a pretty decent deal.

I would keep looking, no need to rush into buying. I see 03 sv's going for less than that around here.

NADA value...

NADA lists the value of a 2003 or 2004 SV650S at $3600-$4700 in my area. A google search for used motorcycle prices will bring up other sources for used pricing.

It's always wise to bring values from reliable sources when dealing on any used vehicle. Most people don't have a clue what their bike is worth.

I only paid $5600 for a new 2004 SV650 last September. Paid cash so I could carry only liability insurance ($120 per year).

4900 is high...

most people think there motorcycle is worth the sun/moon/& stars. and right now dealerships are asking a premimum for used bikes. I would look around, you could probably find a much better deal then that

I think the market is running a little high right now. Not just because it's summer but also because of current gas prices - and fears about it going even higher. I suspect a lot og the "beginner" bikes are going to start getting snapped up by people looking to save a buck. If you want a bike, you might have to pay.
