what kind of bike alarms do y'all recommend? i've seen a lot out there and i don't want to spend a fortune, but i don't want a POS either.

i have audiovox prestige one.. i like it, it has a starter kill on it. even if you pull the fuse the starter wont work. you need the transmitter to allow the starter to engage. this is if the bike is armed and you try to start it after the siren goes off.

i paid 100 bucks for it

where did you buy that one quik?

BR, i took a look at that one, and it looks nice, just a little bit too expensive for me though.

One issue I have is they claim a 1/2mi range on the remote, but if I got 50ft from my bike into my apartment the remote will usually lose touch with the bike. Same thing if I go roughly 120 ft into my work. But I have driven down the street with the remote and it does seem to keep in touch with the bike up to 1/2mi as long as you arn't going inside anything.

i got it at a stereo shop that sells car alarms they had a few there. it was only 100 bucks. ive seen alarms for more
