Hey Everyone,

I live in South East Michigan and am getting ready for the riding season, that's hopefully very close (weather). Does anyone happen to know of any good riding spots, I'm thinking there has to be some good (twisty) roads headed up North, I've just never been that way. Also, does anybody know which of the track days in Michigan or Ohio give the best rider instruction, I'm really trying to learn as opposed to going as fast as possible down the straights. Thanks, hope a few of you are from Michigan!

I think I talked to you before ha ha. Did you get the ZZR you had your eye on? Decided to stick with mine after all. Now I need some good roads!

Its fact, your gonna be dissapointed badly at what your riding is gonna consist of.

You MIGHT find a decend road here and there with 1-3 decend curves that you will find yourself going back and forth on over and over and over.

696 freeway near Royal Oak has some OK curves which last about 4 miles give or take. Also a hot bed for cops in the summer because there's a Thursday night, bike night in Royal Oak.

There is an area in lower mid Michigan that roughly bordered by Dexter/ Pinckney/ Chelsea/ Lansing/ Jackson that has some decent roads.

Go on Mapquest and put in Plymouth, Michigan. Find Beck Road and M-14. Right there you will see North Territorial. Take that west and you will find some decent roads.

I'm not sure where you are located, but PM me if you want to go out sometime. One rule we have, wear your gear - full leathers, gloves, boots. If you don't have 'em you won't want to ride with us...as shall we say its a very "spirited" ride :devil .

Yup, me too :D

It isn't something that gets advertised though. We don't want the Po Po hanging out in our stomping grounds.

The best way to learn where they are is to go out riding with those that know them.

I live in Canton and the best place around here I can find is Hines Park Dr. I have taken it from Northville to Dearborn and then hop on the M-10 S where Hines Park runs in to Ford rd to I-94 W to I-275 N and get off at Ford rd several times. It does go through so questionable areas but most of it is good. It gives me good twisties out and then highway back.

I am also originally from the Westside (30 miles West of G-rap, Holland/Zeeland) and anything along the lakeshore is pretty good. I know from Holland to Grand Haven on Lakeshore Drive is good. And South from Saugatuk to South Haven.

Im sure that doesn't help much but those are my two picks for the areas that I am familiar with.
