I have a jacket with a compatible pair of pants. The pants came with a jacket attachment zipper. Both are from the same company "CorTech".
Where should i go for getting the zipper attached to the jacket?
Will any alteration/ tailor do it for me? How much does it cost typically?

Thanks

Yep any good tailor (maybe at a dry cleaners) should be able to sew it in. I would guess it will cost $10-15 tops. Just make sure that it gets placed correctly for when you're sitting on the bike and so it keeps your pants up. :)

^How would we make sure it is placed correctly? I am about to go do the same thing with some Alpinestars and was wondering if I just wear them into the tailor or what?
yup, wear them in how you want it, and they pin it in place. Then you have to be able to take off what you want the zipper sewn to. so wear clean boxers if you want it on the pants. :)

(i do my fair share of sewing, please don't ask)

Hmm, I was wondering how that was done. Thanks! Glad I stumbled on this thread. I was looking at some Alpinestars and Shift Racing jackets but didn't like how they don't have zippers to attach to pants.

When you buy the alpine star track pants they come with a zipper to attach to your jacket.

I don't know why they don't sell the zippers already attached to all the jackets. It would make all the jackets have the ability to become a 2-piece suit instantly with a pair of pants.

Well because the zippers wouldn't match. You get a size 38 pant and a medium jacket and someone else gets a Size 42 pant and a medium jacket... see the problem?

I had a zipper sewn into my pants and the tailor that did it deals with a lot of biker's. He had me put on the suit and spin a folding chair around and sit on it to get the placement. Worked out great, keeps the pants in place and it doesn't feel like they are pulling at all.
