No, I don't mean awesomely stylish and made from fine grain leather from only the most kosher cows in the world.

I mean in terms of use and stretch.

I bought some Tourmaster Solution boots. Size 42. I used my dress shoes as the size reference and most of them are 42. All the shoes I buy fit like shit from the start, feet hurt, and are uncomfortable as hell. Then after 2 - 3 wears they are like butter because the leather stretches and forms to my foot.

I bought these in 42, my big toe is lacking maybe 2mm of space. Im also wearing gym socks, if I put on dress socks, im sure it will be better. But before I go that route or get a size b***** which might be to big, id like to ask.

Do motorcycle boots stretch and break in like dress shoes?

Not nearly as much, as you'd expect, because the construction is much stiffer and there are other support pieces (sliders, torsion cups) that prevent them from stretching much.

They seem to loosen up around the joints more than actually stretching much. If something was too tight I'd exchange it rather than expect it to get looser.

What kinda socks do you guys wear with em?

According to the size chart here.
TOURMASTER SOLUTION WATERPROOF BOOTS

Next size up is 10 and I think that may be to large for me. It will be a little more than a quarter inch more space.
I've been just wearing tall athletic socks from Target but I got someLorpen Ski Italian Wool Lightweight Socks and I'm not looking back. They're expensive but it's not like I'm going to be buying a new pair every couple of weeks.

These have a cushioned sole and are tall enough that the boot doesn't rub on my bare ankle.

Alright. Sold.

I ordered one size larger, because of the various options available for footwear I am going to want to have more room. Lets see what happens when they arrive.

Thanks guys.

Getting size 10 was definitely the correct course of action. They aren't perfect, but if feet swell while riding, it would be good to have that extra space.

Ideally size 9.5 would be perfect.
