I would absolutely never break 100 on any cruiser especially not on my dads honda shadow 1000, or his new VTX1800. I would just never do such a thing.

I know I can go faster,but not on an open road.I would love to take it somewhere where I can REALLY let it go.Is there anywhere someone can take a bike to REALLY let it go? A 1/4 mile just isn't long enough

I ran my Nightster this year and with a one mile run-up, on soft damp salt, I got to 113. I think that with another mile run-up........120 would be possible.

These either have to be pure newbs or really, REALLY, reserved riders. It is ridiculous to think that a "harley" (shorthand for any cruiser type bike) not being able to easily obtain a speed of 100mph. With their generally wider and flatter tires as well as increased weight and giganto windscreens they should feel more comfortable at those speeds than us on sportbikes. I have ridden with cruiser dudes and though they dont have much left after 110/120 they don't have a problem getting up to 100.

I registered on their forums. It is really really fun. You should read what these guys say about the v-rod, all they do is bash. The few harley riders that do ride the v-rod love it. It's the only bike harley makes that doesn't suck haha. Supposedly dealers can't get rid of them.

No need to do that...even my little 400 can do it without breaking a sweat

Heck, a GS500, EX500...even the 250 4cil JDM bikes will do it nfloor

Yeah, because riding your high RPM engine like it was meant to be ridden is just ungodly for the longevity of the motor.
