Had a friend at work ask about it and Im not able to find it anymore.

I think it was a japanese racer, professional track, apppeared to be screwing around during (pre)qualifying runs. wet track, bike was sliding around every corner, both front and rear, craziest thing I've seen in a long time.

Anyone recall who that was and perhaps where I could find the link again?

He was doing anything but screwing around lol.
Yup, and IIRC it was during qualifying. The most incredible video I've ever seen of wet weather riding.

That video is friggin epic.... I LOVE riding on a wet track!!!!

About 1/2 way through this season I was doing a track day & we ended up getting wet... Well there I was without my rains so I was on my regular Diablo Supercorsa Pros taking it easy for the most part, practicing being silky smooth.

The track was pretty empty by the last couple of sessions so I started to have a little bit of fun (I was working so I was concentrating more on helping out the riders in my group for most of the day). I began picking up the pace bit by bit and started getting it sideways here & there... by the end of the day I had my bike sliding all over the place, trail braking in the wet on DOT race tires & pushing the front end, back end slipping & gripping over & over again on exit... it was friggin great!

Now obviously it wasn't NEARLY as spectacular as the riding that Kiyonari video, but it sure felt like it at the time! :p

Most people see wet track days as a big downer... I see em as opportunities! Invest in good solid rain gear to keep you dry and comfortable and they're just as fun if not MORE fun AND more educational than TD's in the dry!
