I commute from Anderson to Spartanburg where I work (about 54 miles one way) on Interstate 85.
Most bikers around here will tell you "man don't ride on I85", but it's the only way to work from where I live.
Anyway, the other day chunk of semi tire flew up from under a car, hit my headlight housing and cracked it, folded my mirror back against the fairing, then hit me in the shoulder.
Needless to say, a very exciting experience, and one that will greatly increase your "pucker factor"
Keep the rubber side down and the shiny side up.. ride safe.
